Are you a rising high school senior planning to apply to

musical theater college programs? We are here to help you!

By the end of this course, you will:

  • Know what type of program is right for you - BFA, BA, BMus, Certificate.

  • Have a list of schools that will be a good fit for you.

  • Know options for funding for application fees if you have need.

  • Know the audition requirements for every school on your personal list, including if they will be at any unified auditions in your area.

  • Have prepared songs and monologues that meet those requirements.

  • Have practice for a dance call if that is part of your program's audition requirements.

  • Have an updated resume at industry standards to submit with your auditions.

  • Have guidance on proper headshots for college auditions.

  • Know exactly how to film your prescreen videos and  submit them for review by us as many times as needed before turning them in.

Your instructors:

Christie Rotarius - Voice, College Selection, Prescreens

Christie was formerly adjunct voice faculty at NYU, and is private voice teacher with students who have been accepted to programs like: NYU Steinhardt, NYU Tisch, Baldwin Wallace, Syracuse, and more. Her current students are performing on Broadway, National Tours, and at Local and Regional Theaters (prior to the pandemic). Allison Guinn - Acting

Allison has performed on Broadway with Hair (2009), and On The Town (2015), and just recently completed a two year run as “Madame Thenardier” in the national tour of Les Miserables. She’s been seen on tv in Boardwalk Empire, The Knick, Inside Amy Schumer, and Divorce. Education: Circle In The Square Theatre School: Two Year Acting Program and East Tennessee State University: Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. Allison also has her Teaching Artist Certification.

Eric Bean Jr. - Dance

Eric attended University of the Arts in Philadelphia (PA), where he was eventually invited to become a member of Eleone Dance Theater. Under the direction of Shawn-Lamere Williams, he continued to grow as an artist and performer; working his way through the ranks to a position of principle dancer. Immediately after completion of his undergraduate program, he was invited to join the renowned Koresh Dance Company under the direction of Artistic Director/Choreographer/Founder Ronen Koresh. Here he received opportunities to work with and perform works by pioneers in the dance community including: Donald Byrd (Spectrum Dance Theatre, Color Purple Musical), Robert Battle ( Alvin Aliey American Dance Theatre) and Ohad Naharin (Batshava Dance Company) to name a few.

Choreographically, Eric has been given the opportunity to create work for several companies such as Missouri Contemporary Ballet, Brandywine Ballet, and Eleone Dance Theater as well as hold faculty positions in various national and international dance programs including University of the Arts, University of Nevada Las Vegas and ‘Dance Bermuda’; American Ballet Theatre’s only international dance program. In 2014 he was also given the opportunity to work with the legendary Frank Gatson, Jr. and his creative team on their revamping of the Las Vegas classic Production Show, “Jubilee! The Showgirl Reborn” and served as a member of its illustrious final cast. He is currently on tour with Disney's The Lion King (on hiatus due to pandemic).
